What is a Man?
Ministry for Men by Men is designed to help men mature in their God-given roles as husbands, fathers, workers, disciples, friends, mentors, and “God Chasers”.
What is your definition of a man? If you ask that question to a group of men you’ll hear many different answers depending upon environment and upbringing.
Some may say he is a man when he has reached a certain age, some may say when he has moved out from under mom’s roof and has his own car and apartment, and some believe that making a certain amount of money is attaining manhood. None of these things, however, are characteristics of a man. Manhood is a process, a transition from maleness.
The chart below states some of the differences between a male and a man.

Males Are Born but Men Are Made
As you can see there are some distinctions between males and men. Being a man is not easy, especially when you understand a man’s role and responsibilities. I was speaking with a brother one day, and he said to me. “Bro, this being a man thing is hard!” I knew exactly where he was coming from. Walking in manhood can be overwhelming because we’re going through the process of being reshaped, renewed, and restored and completely retained. The process of being a man is something we must be taught how to be. Being a male is different from being a man. As men we must take responsibility and show our boys how to transition from “male-hood” to “manhood.”Note: Duet 6 In order to be great, you have to have been able to learn how to submit. Michael Floyd
In those days there was no king in Israel : every man did that which was right in his own eyes. (Judges 21:25 )
Introduction
The book of Judges tells of a time in Israel ’s history when they lacked a single person to cast a national vision and lead them. The lack of strong leadership, led to Israel ’s unfaithfulness to God. Israel lost sight of their unique identity as God’s people, chosen and called to be his army and the loyal citizens of his emerging kingdom. They settled down and attached themselves to Canaan ’s peoples; together with Canaanite morals, gods, and religious beliefs and practices as readily as to Canaan ’s agriculture and social life.
As a result of Israel straying away from God’s path, the tribes of Israel became divided, scattered, and weak. Often times they were plagued with warring countries that looked to conquer them. However, in the midst of their unfaithfulness, whenever the oppression became too severe God would raise up a judge for a time to deliver Israel from their oppressors. In order to understand what caused Israel to be lead astray, we must go to an earlier period of time and ask what happened, and how did they get in this predicament?
It is while Israel is in Egyptian bondage that God commissions Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt to the Promised Land. Along the way Joshua becomes Moses’ protégé. Knowing that his days are numbered, Moses begins to cultivate and groom young Joshua so that Joshua would be able to carry on and continue God’s work after Moses has passed on.
Joshua becomes a great leader. He leads the children of Israel into the Promised Land. He was a battlefield genius, particularly in the areas of careful planning, strategy, and execution. He was a capable administrator for the nation, effective in maintaining harmony among people and groups. He was a spokesman to the people for the Lord. Joshua was great. Under his leadership Israel conquered 31 cities. He judicially appoints land to the tribes and in his final days, he rallies the people and gives his final speech. He reminds them of God’s faithfulness to Israel , and he beseeches them to choose whether to serve Yahweh or the god’s of their fathers before the flood.
Joshua was a great leader, but he makes one fatal flaw, he does not mentor, cultivate, or nurture anyone to take his place when he is gone. And so Joshua dies off we are thrown into the book of judges and the end result is and “in those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.”

Sound the Alarm: Code Blue!
For some, there are a couple of things that come to mind when hearing “Code blue!” (1) a medical emergency in which a team of medical personnel work to revive an individual in cardiac arrest… (2)In Marvel Universe comic strip characters, they were a special task force of dedicated police officers that were specifically trained and equipped to deal with the menaces of society. This would mean that their plight as a unit is to overtake/subdue the super powered criminals that conventional police tactics and S.W.A.T. teams were ineffective against. Bottom line, both the medical emergency team and the special task force has purpose. There purpose is to save humanity and protect the life of innocent citizens while working together to revive their community. For far too long no one has been around to revive “Men”. We are calling out to Men in the Church, our brothers, our Pastors, castaways in the streets, emotionally wounded; men, incarcerated men, simply put, men in general.
For centuries males have been misplaced and/or misguided from their proper roles in a society that G’D created/designated for us. In many circles no one person can settle on the cause for one reason or another. It was the males in the Levitical Priesthood that revered our HOLY G’D, they carried the Ark of the Covenant, and maintained the Tabernacle. The affects and results have been catastrophic from penal systems to prostitution, from pimping to drug trafficking/addiction, from murder to suicide, from conceiving fatherless children to having an endless chain of love relationships, from compulsive to combative behaviors, from apathy to obsessive habits.
Every family has been affected and has to some degree (some more than others) a form of dysfunction. It is our plight to begin the healing of the wounds (self/society induced) that so many fatherless and fathered males received as young boys. Countless numbers of men never received or never learned fatherly affection; however there are those who have overcame this obstacle and broke this chain of emotional neglect. Unfortunately, many have been or are in a constant mode of survival/defense. There are also those in which the pain and neglect stems from mothers or surrogate-mothers. The list goes on, but now the time has come for change. It is now time to take up that bed of bondage, gain back control of our lives and walk through the victory that JESUS has given us. We are the epitome of Reign. We are the Authority. We are the Leaders, the Providers and the Protectors of family. We are here. Our voice will be heard, not just through words but through Godly action!
There is a Remnant of men (Reign) who seek to and will reign in the dominion and sovereign power that G’D affords each and every man. It’s the measure of our faith and how we develop that faith, for good or for evil. It’s simple, just humble oneself, repent and truly seek G’D. Unite with us. Are we perfect? Not even close, however we are striving to make a difference in the earth by obedience to G’D, HIS Word and being empowered by a perfect SAVIOR and a perfect G’D!
It is the creating of an environment where communication will allow us to find out the “who” in our lives so that we will be on the pathway to finding out the “why”. Thru intervention and guidance of the HOLY SPIRIT, we seek to help educate, liberate and strengthen males from the ignorant traditions that many of us have become subject and bound to. Now is the time to walk in the likeness of G’D through CHRIST JESUS. Note: Galatians 4:7 wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Sound the Alarm: Code Blue! A few of the Males in the body of CHRIST and a host of non believers are in cardiac rest, but Reign is now here! Join Us! |

Reign – The Call of the Levite
The Men of Remnant lead the Call to Worship in Sacred Dance Advisor B. Mike Floyd
Genesis 1:26 “God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”
Definitions of reign on the Web:
- a period during which something or somebody is dominant or powerful;
- have sovereign power; "Henry VIII reigned for a long time"
- the period during which a monarch is sovereign; "
- royal authority; the dominion of a monarch -The Conqueror
A reign is a period of time a person serves as a monarch. No time limit exists on reigns, nor is there a term of office. Thus a reign usually lasts for the remainder of the monarch's life, unless the monarchy itself is abolished or the monarch. The men of Reign, young and old understand the power of serving and surrendering their life to Christ completely. They have embraced a lifestyle and a Christ style that demonstrates that the attributes of King David, the wisdom of King Solomon and the strength of Samson can only be acquired in a developed mind and heart for serving our living Savior. The question may be asked with uncertainty why would a real man engage in sacred anointed dance? Why dance at all? The answer, because of the strong call and desire for righteousness, the love for sacred fine arts and drama the intimacy that one experiences in worship and the sacrifice Jesus made for us all. This is demonstrated on every ocassion our Father opens a portal for praise and curtian for true worship.
