Welcome…….to our path as we walk with Christ!
Who are they and why have they come? “For many are invited, but few are chosen.” —Matthew 22:1-14, NIV
What is an Intern: One who completes a specified requirement, and then embarks on a formal apprenticeship working under supervision and guidance of the Mentor. An intern has to be open, receptive and willing to listen and apply prayerful and Godly counsel.
What is a Host: One who is responsible for the Intern while they are entering the first 12 weeks of “The Remnant”. The host will not give assignments or take Interns out on assignments without consent. This is a crucial area and must be understood. Ministry is a war zone and Interns must be trained to effectively guard and protect. Warriors must always be prepared for battle. The Host only assists through this process. (The Host is a trained liaison).
What is a Mentor: A mentor is not a perfect person; they are merely a coach, cheerleader and voice of reason. They often times sense danger and signs of threat before you do. Their heart is so towards God that their desire is to see the subject grow and become the apple of His eye. They desire the best be made manifest in your lives. Mentors have the innate ability to back away with humility and grace.
Mentors "love" unconditionally and despite of adversity. Mentors envelop, under girth and love the one selected in their season. Mentors require determination, persistence, focus and endurance. Strength is the end product of all these attributes. Finally, a mentor has a responsibility to be carefully honest, strategically fair, and earnestly firm. Remember to keep it simple.
Questions: This will be the discussion one will share with the Mentor!
- Who will Host? Mentor me?
- What will guidance be like?
- How often will we meet or dialog?
- Do you understand the Vision of “The Remnant”?
- What skills do I need for this internship?
- What skills will I gain from this internship?
- What can I expect to learn?
- What types of assignments and projects will I be working on?
- How will most of my time be spent?
- What percentage of my time will be spent on study, preparing, and absorbing each experience?
- Have you ever had an intern before?
- What are your expectations of me? (the Host & the Mentor)
- What is my True Motive?
This parable does not mean that God calls us, picks over us, and keeps only a few. It means that he calls everyone and empowers them to respond, but the process of being chosen requires us to use the power God gave us to respond to the call.
Side Note: The REMNANT are a people of unshakable integrity, who love truth and are totally honest. Zephaniah 3:13. "The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down and none shall make them afraid.” For those of you who are completely turned off at the thought of working for nothing, there are some alternatives. He brought us out to take us higher! Shall we go? ___________
This walk is truly about evangelism. Our arena is “Sacred Fine Arts”. Increasingly, organizations such as ours are realizing that although some students are motivated by paychecks, many just want the ability to understand their purpose in ministry. Better yet, many are in pursuit of filling a longing that has been open in their heart for destiny.
Even though one can’t find monetary value or tangible resources in these internships, there are benefits. One of them I believe is the most crucial, acceptance as the Father sees us. After one is exposed to fellowship, family, and the embracing of specific training and understanding; the field that makes what we do so significant is wide open.
Cooperative Education (co-op): a three-way partnership between the intern, the host and the mentor. If the intern is allowed to integrate, study, ministry and evangelism into the call; the benefits to kingdom building are vast and great. Many ministries endorse cooperative education by partnering with a variety of resources to reach optimal expectations. Your surrender, your YES is no different. If you are reading this and have been called to this ministry it’s only an assignment for higher learning. This is a walk of salvation, obedience and discipleship!
Field Experience: Ministry Outings provide an opportunity to develop skills by observing, recording, mapping, and interpreting all that one can experience. These assignments are drawn in by the Father and may not always be afforded to you. Each event is unique and requires different gifting to reach out. The greatest shift is obedience and discipline! If you are called to one event and not to another, it does not minimize your importance. Understanding this concept opens our ability to learn and without these, one can not learn what is offered as teaching. Each experience is a declaration and decree of what we believe should be a blessed outcome! It is our hope to always believe God and move to please Him!
Assignments: Must be completed when given. This is not an option. Study is the most important tool as it sharpens our weapons. Knowledge is power and necessary to strategize against the enemy. It revolutionizes our mind and fortifies our thought processes. 90% of what we do is STUDY and PRAYER, 10% of what we do is Movement! It could be any range of topics, musical instruments, sacred dance, fine arts & theater and song. Each of you have a responsibility to reply and respond by due date as given.
Range of Gifts and Instruments: Lifestyle, Intimacy, "The Flow", The Basics, Praise, Worship, Sacred Dance, Sacred Garb ( attire: clothing of a distinctive style or for a particular worship occasion), Mime, Urban Movement, The Temple, The Body, Mind and Soul, Health & Wellness, Pageantry, The Flow of Praise and Worship Instruments and much more.
Our focus!
Zephaniah 3: Highlighted 17-20 (Read all 3 Chapters)
17 The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior [Who saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] and in His love He will be silent and make no mention [of past sins, or even recall them]; He will exult over you with singing.
18 I will gather those belonging to you [those Israelites in captivity] who yearn and grieve for the solemn assembly [and the festivals], on whom [their exile and inability to attend services at Jerusalem have brought derision and] the reproach of it is a burden.
19 Behold, at that time I will deal with all those who afflict you; I will save the limping [ones] and gather the outcasts and will make them a praise and a name in every land of their shame.
20 at that time I will bring you in; yes, at that time I will gather you, for I will make you a name and a praise among all the nations of the earth when I reverse your captivity before your eyes, says the Lord.
17 The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.
18 I will gather them that are sorrowful for the solemn assembly, who are of thee, to whom the reproach of it was a burden.
19 Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict thee: and I will save her that halteth, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame.
20 At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith the LORD. KJV
Our Responsibility:
To be honest with yourself and operate in the greatest of all things is Integrity! Dare to believe, Dominion, Anointing, Restoration and Excellence! I dare you to trust God the Father, The Son and depend on the Holy Spirit!
Remember His Foot Prints as we “Walk it Out” together!

Sacred Garments
What are the Basics! Articles of Clothing
Eight items of clothing are listed for the priest. There were four "inner" garments to be worn by all the priests: breeches, tunic, girdle, and hat. The remaining four articles were "over" garments to be worn by Aaron and the high priests that followed him: robe, ephod, breast piece, and diadem. It would appear that not all clothing items are mentioned. An obvious omission is footwear. There is no claim that a complete inventory of garments is given. We will consider first the four "inner" garments, followed by the four "over" ones.
Pants/Palazzo/Breeches--This particular garment (Exodus 28:42) was to assure the modesty demanded of the priest when officiating at the altar (20:26). It was made of linen (39:28), since the priest must not perspire when officiating (Ezekiel 44:18). While the breeches were part of the daily dress of the priest, they are specified in particular as part of his apparel when he was removing the ashes of the burnt offerings from the altar (Leviticus 6:10) and in connection with his activities on the Day of Atonement (16:4).
Top/Blouse/Tunic--This item, part of the normal dress of every man, was to be worn under the outer garment.4 It was a long or half-sleeved shirt like garb reaching to the ankles.5 Made of linen, as were all the "inner" garments, it was to have a checked design, indicating either an open texture or a variegation of colors (Exodus 28:39).
Leotard/Tights/Unitard/Girdle--This was a kind of linen sash, essential to a flowing garment, to assure warmth and maneuverability.
Hat/Covering/Turban--Two different Hebrew words are used for the headdress, indicating a distinction between the hat of the high priest and the ordinary priests. The turban of the latter was an ornamented head-covering made of fine linen, wrapped about the head in a conical shape.
Overlay/Robe of the Ephod (Exodus 28:31-34)--The first "over" piece to be put on was the robe. This garment, probably sleeveless, was essentially a large blue mantle with a hole for the wearer's head. A closely woven binding bordered the edge of the head opening to prevent tearing. The skirts of this robe were fringed with alternating woolen pomegranates (i.e., woolen balls shaped like pomegranates) and golden bells.
Sacred Bells of the Priest: The bells provided sound by which the people could follow the progress of the priest. Your bells when given, should allow the Lord God to track your entry into His presence. Thus the (bells of the Priest) Pomegranates were used for decorative purposes. (1 Kings 7:20, 42). This fruit was also popular as a fertility symbol because of its many seeds, suggesting incomparable fruitfulness.
Ephod (Exodus 28:6-12). This was perhaps the most important item of the priestly clothing. A kind of apron made of materials woven out of gold and linen thread and variously colored yarns, it covered the back and chest, reaching nearly to the knees. It was fastened to the body by two shoulder straps and a belt with which it was lined. Upon the shoulder straps were two onyx stones, on which the names of the sons of Israel were engraved in the order of their birth. These two onyx stones, called "stones of remembrance," were not so much to remind Aaron of all the tribes he should serve, but to remind God of all the tribes with whom He had made a covenant. As long as the priest bore the names of Israel before the Lord, He would not forget to be gracious to Israel. Thus, in effect, there was a kind of wordless intercessory prayer.6
Sash/Breastpiece (Exodus 28:15-30). The breastpiece,7 so called because of its position when worn, was a pouch made from the same materials as the ephod. Chains of braided gold and golden rings with loops of blue secured the breast piece in position. Its primary purpose was to contain the sacred lot, the Urim and Thummim. By wearing them above his heart, Aaron would indicate that justice originates with God and would remind God to maintain the administration of justice in Israel. Three times this article is referred to as the "breast piece of judgment."
How it relates to Remnant: Each Minister of Dance must have the Basics in order to move effectively. There are exceptions but only Leadership can determine those parameters!
- White/Black Garments or any combination of white/black. (White Palazzos, Skirt and long sleeve Leotard)
- Our black “Drippy” overlays/ephods. With Pink Sashes.
- What are the Basic Remnant Colors: Black, White and Pink.
- Men: White/Black top and bottom with Pink/Black/White Sashes
Standard:
Make sure that tops skirts, pants and ephods/overlays fit properly and that the garments do not restrict your movement. Remove Red nail polish from those little toes, neutral Make Up, Earth Tones, pls wear natural lip color. Women: Pull your hair back out of your face. Men, clean and fresh shave and well groomed hair. Traditional locks of hair are welcomed but must be pulled back from one’s face (male or female).Remove all jewelry with exception to a stud earring and your wedding bands (those who are married) just in case your hand swings out and becomes a distraction or a weapon.
8 Layers:
Under garments (underwear and lining).
Unitard-Male/Female (Long Sleeve/Boat Neck)
Loose Pant/Palazzos
Two Circle Skirt (2 skirts -depending on fabric)
Overlay
Ephod or Vest
Robe of the Ephod
Sash/Breastplate
This is where it all begins. Concentrating on why, we move and the purpose of all movement. Our meditating on the Word of God as the bases of all motion is crucial. He creates the form, the line and the position. He is the poise, the grace and the excellence. These are practical things that lead us into a deeper understanding of our gift. 90% of all we do is revealed in Study and Applications. 10% is preparation and liberty. Shall we go up together.
